Can you tell me if my baby or child has a lip or tongue tie?

As speech-language pathologists, we cannot make medical diagnoses such as ankyloglossia, as it falls outside of our scope of practice. However, during our comprehensive evaluation of you, your baby or child's feeding skills, we will carefully assess the oral structures, including screening for potential oral restrictions such as lip or tongue ties. We will share our observations about functional impact, answer any questions you have about oral ties, and, if necessary, provide referrals to trusted providers for further evaluation and treatment if warranted. Best practice for optimal results is to have pre and post frenectomy therapy.

Do you Accept Insurance?

Chat Speech is In-Network with CDPHP and most BCBS affiliates (not Anthem or Empire). We bill in-network insurances directly for services but this is not a guarantee of coverage. Coverage is determined by your individual plan benefits. You are responsible for copays, deductibles, or nonpayment/noncoverage per your insurance policy.

If you do not have an in-network plan, payment is required at the time of service. Upon request, we can provide a superbill receipt that you can then submit to your insurance if you have Out of Network benefits. Reimbursement is specific to your individual policy and we recommend contacting your insurance to verify benefits and requirements unique to your plan.

Cancellation Policy?

Most days, there is a waiting list of patients who are eager to set up an appointment as soon as possible. As such, it is important to keep your appointment for the time it was scheduled. Appointments that are canceled more than 24 business hours in advance will not be charged a cancellation fee. Appointments that are canceled within the 24 -hour window of time (less than 24 hours of advanced notice) are subject to a $100.00 late cancellation fee. Likewise, if you miss a scheduled appointment without a prior phone call, a $100.00 fee is charged.
